FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Where is Salon Chrysalis located?
The address is 330 Commercial Street (US-1) in Rockport, Maine. It is in the lower level of the Salon Suites by the Sea. When you pull into the parking lot, you drive all the way around to the back of the building to the lower level parking lot where you’ll find the main entrance. Salon Chrysalis is suite number 3, which is down the hall to the left after you walk in the main entrance.
Where do I wait for my appointment?
Due to the limited amount of space in the suite, all guests are to wait in the common waiting area for their appointment. Courtney will come out to get you at the time of your appointment. Feel free to help yourself to some water from the cooler by the front door, to flip through the magazines on the tables, and to use the restrooms located in the back of the waiting area.
Are masks required?
Masks are not required at this time, but are always available. If a guest chooses to wear a mask, Courtney will also wear a mask - many of her clients still do. There is also an air purifier in the suite that is effective against viruses & allergens.
How long do I have to wait to come in if I test positive for COVID?
Even though the CDC has lowered guidelines, Salon Chrysalis still requires that guests reschedule their appointments for at least 10 days out from having COVID.
What should I do if I’m sick the day of my appointment?
Even if you test negative for COVID, if you are sick with symptoms of any kind, Salon Chrysalis requires that you reschedule your appointment to prevent spreading illness. The cancellation fee is waived for sickness.
Can I bring a friend/partner/parent to my appointment?
Yes, there is a chair in the suite for a guest to come along to your appointment. Due to the limited amount of space, only one guest can accompany you. Of course, guests are also more than welcome to wait in the common waiting area for you as well.
Can I bring my child(ren) to my appointment?
As mentioned above, due to limited space, there is only enough seating for one person in the suite with you. A child in a carseat is not a problem, but a toddler on the move without another adult to care for them while you get your hair done is not the best situation during an appointment.
Are there any beverages or food available?
Yes! Salon Chrysalis always has water, a variety of hot teas, hot coffee, & wine for guests that are 21 & over. There is also a variety of snacks & candy.
Can I bring my own drink/food to my appointment?
Of Course!
Can I bring inspiration photos to show my hair goals?
Absolutely! Photos are always helpful, so feel free to bring up to 3 that show your goals. But if you don’t have inspiration photos, that’s perfectly fine too!
What are the prices?
You can find a full list of prices under the service menu tab. Price quotes for hair color services can be given during in-person consultations.
What is the cancellation policy?
You can find the full cancellation policy under the “Cancellation Policy” tab, but 24 hour notice is required if you need to change or cancel an appointment in order to avoid a fee (unless you are sick, there is inclement weather, or you have an emergency).
What happens if I’m late to an appointment?
Depending on how late you are, the service may not be able to be done & there would be a charge for a cancellation fee. If you are running a few minutes late, it’s always appreciated if you are able to let Courtney know (as long as you can do so safely!).
What if I don’t like something about my hair after my appointment?
Courtney’s goal is to make sure you love your hair! If you find anything about your hair that you are unhappy with after your appointment, reach out to her within 7 days so she can get you back in & make whatever adjustment is needed.
I’m here part of the year, can I make an appointment?
At this time, Salon Chrysalis is unable to accommodate seasonal clients.
